AETN will broadcast two local documentaries produced recently by Emmy-winning documentary filmmaker and University of Arkansas professor Larry Foley.

Up Among the Hills, a 60-minute film documenting the history of Fayetteville, will air four times in December.

Narrated by former President Bill Clinton, Up Among the Hills premiered in October at a sold-out black-tie gala hosted by the Fayetteville Public Library.

Also set to be broadcast is The Art of Crystal Bridges, a 30-minute documentary that tells the story behind the founding and development of a major national museum – the first devoted to American artwork to open in half a century – in the heart of the Ozarks.

Narrated by Mary Steenburgen, The Art of Crystal Bridges includes interviews with museum curators and designers, as well as architect Moshe Safdie and philanthropist Alice Walton.

Both films were screened at the 21st annual Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival along with another of Foley’s films, Growing Hope.
